I purchased this software but have never been able to get it to do everything it is suppose to do. I keep getting messages to reload the program because parts are missing - this gets old after a few times. I never found it to be easy to use as is advertised.

Media maker 8 is a good software program for easily copying CDs and DVDs. It does the job easily, quickly and error free. But I had an issue with compatility with System Mechanic. It seems that the NTI Media Maker uses non-standard registry entries which get flagged for removal by System Mechanic. Until I realized what was happening i reinstalled Media maker several times, and it does take a long time to install, along with the patch. Once I realized that System Mechanic was removing NTI's registry settings, I modified System Mechanic to bypass Media Maker. Now, all is well. I did send a note to NTI informing them of the problem and asking if they would consider using industry standard registry entries. They skirted the question. I have many apps on my PC and this NTI product is the only one that had an issue with the registry cleaner. I suppose this isn't just System Mechanic but other reg cleaners as well.

I've had this item for nearly two months, and it has been working great. I have an outdoor TV (Samsung Plasma) with cat5e/coax running between it and my media closet - roughly 40ft. My directv satellite receiver is located in the closet, so I needed this balun (i.e. extender) to get the hdmi signal to the TV via the cat5e cable. It was easy to install and worked immediately. I've watched a ton of football this Fall on my patio, and I haven't see any degradation with the picture quality at all. For the price, I'm extremely pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it.

In our remodel, I planned for a TV in the kitchen, but during construction, the RG6 coax was damaged and not detected until construction was over. My wife wanted me to figure out a way to get coax into the kitchen. I put it of for a couple years, not wanting to screw up the aesthetics of the remodel.

I decided that I would finally deliver and pull cable. Then I searched one more time for range extenders and found this device which takes only a single Cat5 cable. I had two Cat5 drops in the kitchen that worked. So I built up a great solution using this extender, an HDMI Splitter: ViewHD 2 Port HDMI 1x2 Powered Splitter Ver 1.3 Certified for Full HD 1080P & 3D (One Input To Two Outputs), and an RF Remote for DirecTv: New High Quality DIRECTV RC65RBK 4 DEVICE DIRECTV REPLACEMENT REMOTE WITH RF FEATURE (REMOTE CONTROLS)

The solution works great. The splitter lets me borrow a seldom used receiver in our grown daughter's room. The extender plugged into existing Cat5 in her room. I patched the bedroom to the kitchen at the basement patch panel and hooked up the other end of the extender in the kitchen to an HDTV. I set up the remote's RF feature and then was up to the kitchen to try it out.

Everything works great. With HDMI this signal is either perfect or non-existent. And the signal is perfect even after going through about 100' of cable and 8 Cat5 connections. The DirecTV RF works great.

So, now my wife has a TV for her morning coffee and my daughter still has a TV when she visits. If they want to watch different things, they can have dueling Remotes - not my problem.

BEWARE! I just received this product, hooked it up with a 6' Cat5 cable to test it, and as soon as I plugged it into my computer it fried my video card. I disconnected it and directly connected my computer to the HDMI monitor and cannot get a picture any longer.

ClearSounds CLA7-V2 Review by VJT

This neckloop is great if you have multiple accessorie with different jack requirements. Works with a T-coil HA setting and comes with 5 cords, all labeled, for different uses (e.g. cellphone, audio only accessories). With the user manual, it's easy to match cord to use.

Not rechargable, but uses AAA bateries , which last a longer time than some of the rechargable neckloops. I bought it primarily for travel; it's easier to carry some batteries than try to find plugs and time to recharge in airports.

The only minus is that it's bigger than other neckloops, because of the battery compartment.

Since I wear hearing aids in both ears, I cannot us ear buds, etc. to listen to music privately. I tried headphones, but sometimes I would get feedback. A year ago I discovered T-coils and music links. T-coils are "things" in your hearing aids that allow you to make a wireless connection to certain telephones. They can also be used to connect music links to mp3 players, computer, etc. They look like ear buds, but instead of the buds they have hooks for you ears. They work the same way as telephones, except when you move you can lose connection. I was constantly adjusting them. The Clay7-v2 neck loop solved that problem. It gives me continuous connection. It also provides extra volume and clarity. I do sacrifice stereo because it is mono. yet is less obvious than neck looks. I use it with a PocketTalker to amplify group conversation and it is less obvious that I am using it. I use it primarily to listen to my computer, mp3 and PocketTalker, but it can be used with cell phones and phone with headphone connection---and it supplies cords to do so. I do not use it this way because my cellphone does not have jack. Overall I am very happy with it, except I do miss the stereo.

This is a good clock and the automatic time setting is a great feature. It keeps great time and changes correctly for Day Light Savings Time and back again. I only have one negative - it is very bright; both the face and projection. While I find it somewhat too bright this could easily be a plus for someone else. The weather predicting feature wasn't accurate for about the first week but it now predicts better and is normally accurate. Oregon Scientific makes good, long lasting products. I recommend this product but it does have a bright display and I find that I have to turn the display off at night and I have covered the projector with a section of 35mm film negative to make it darker. If you use this in the bedroom, and you like it dark, this is not the clock for you.

In general, I like the clock. I was sold on the pretty colors and the ceiling projection (similar to how I selected my wife).

It's kind of ridiculous to me how many people talk about this clock's projection light "lighting up the room". That's patently insane. Unless your walls and ceiling are painted with phosphorescent thermonuclear paint, then you're just crazy. I guess I can imagine some really really really really uptight sleeper that has to have perfect blackout conditions possibly (just POSSIBLY) disturbed by the light, but in general, such claims are ludicrous and completely overstate the nature of the projection light.

The only thing wrong with the projection light, in my opinion, is that it must be oriented with the clock face, or 180 degrees from the clock face. If, like me, you have the clock on a nightstand to your right or left, that means the light on the ceiling will either be right- or left-facing. There would, in this case, be no where to make the projection read up-to-down, in the natural orientation.

I am also dubious about the "auto-set" feature. I went ahead and manually set mine. It says it was auto-setting and checking, but, I really had no convincing evidence of that.

Also, the weather appears to be accurate every day. I have *NO IDEA* how it works. There's no barometer to predict from, it can't be the time signal, and I wasn't aware that there were NOAA weather carriers out there that it could pick up on. So it's mysterious voodoo to me how it knows the weather. There is a possibility that clock is imbued with the power of Satan, I guess. But the weather has been dead on every day.
